Try before you buy? Beauty Pack takes the pain out of shopping for beauty products

Let's talk about Beauty Pack

I think that most if not all of us can relate to the experience of buying a product with the hopes of having it work for you, only to be sorely disappointed. So you end up with a product that you won't use, and money that you can't get back. It's frustrating to say the least.

So if you had the opportunity to try out products before you can purchase the full size, wouldn't you? Well in comes the Beauty Pack, a local subscription service that helps you try before you buy. I came across their Instagram and had to get more information. Here's how it works.

A quick look at some of the questions for your profile

When you visit their website and sign up, you'll have to answer a few questions to create your profile. These questions range from hair to face, to body and makeup. This information will come in handy to help Beauty Pack determine what type of products you'd want to try going forward. Signing up was very easy. The form is very detailed but doesn't take that long to complete. Once you put in your information and complete your profile you can head on over to see what's in the pack for that month.

May's beauty pack

So I signed up, filled out my profile, anxious to see what was in store for May, which was labeled as the Oily and Combination Skin Care Pack. Each Beauty Pack retails at $150 plus $30 delivery and can give you any combination of try size, travel size or full size products. The May pack included:

  • 1 travel size Garnier®️ Micellar Cleansing Water
  • 1 7ct Neutrogena®️ Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
  • 2 sachets of Bio Balance®️ Soothing Facial Cleansing Gel
  • 2 sachets of Bio Balance®️ Purifying Facial Cleansing Gel
  • 2 sachets of Bio Balance®️ Soothing Skin Care Cream
  • 2 sachets of Bio Balance®️ Full Spectrum Protection Sun Cream SPF 50+
  • 1 Surprise Item
The 2 micellar water options were:
  • Garnier®️ Micellar Cleansing Water for sensitive skin
  • Garnier®️ Micellar Cleansing Water Waterproof
I love the packaging

Now if you were to purchase the full size in everything here, you'd end up spending approximately $250 or even more depending on where you shop, So that in itself is a bit of savings. What I liked with the May box was that I got to choose which Micellar water I wanted to try as well as I received a surprise item. So what was the surprise item? Mine was an EOS lip balm. I've not used one of these in a long time, but these are definitely handy to keep around.

Surprise item

Have you ever gotten a product in a subscription box, tried it, loved it, then be disappointed when you realise that it isn't available locally? Well with the Beauty Pack, you won't have to worry about that because all the products that you'll get in the Beauty Pack can be found locally. So now that you know that you love the product, and where you can find it, you'll save time spent in Pennywise or beauty supply store of choice trying to figure out if you should try one product or the other. So you save money and you save time, that's a win - win for me.

Overall, don't sleep on this subscription box. If you're into trying out a variety of products to see what works for you, then this is a definite go to. AND! As an introductory offer, you can use code FREEDELIVERY to get, you guessed it, free delivery on your order. As of now, their website accepts payment via Wipay, however I recently learned that they're looking into doing cash on delivery as an option.

For more information, you can follow Beauty Pack on Instagram and if you want to order your own May pack, you can do so via their website. Are you into locally based subscription boxes? Let me know. For my thoughts as I try out what I received in my May Beauty Pack, make sure you're following me on Instagram.
